Karen Pascua is a Certified Bokashi Pinoy Mentor since October of 2020 and has mentored 12 batches of the 30-Day Garbage-to-Garden Challenge, 2 batches of Bokashi Pinoy Planting Challenge, and has empowered 104 Certified Bokashi Pinoy Practitioners to date. As the VP for Continuous Learning and Development, she spearheads the development of learning programs that revolve around Bokashi composting and growing food. In addition to this, she is also in charge of onboarding incoming Bokashi Pinoy mentors.
Karen is a licensed financial advisor by profession. She is a financial literacy advocate and a grow-your-own-food advocate and provides lectures and webinars related to these topics. Her love for science, learning and exploring pushed her to take up and finish her degree of BS Microbiology at The University of Sto. Tomas.
She is currently involved in teaching kids composting and gardening at Tahanan Sta. Luisa, a crisis intervention and recovery center for street girls, in Antipolo, Rizal.
